Alexandria, Virginia — The Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO), an industry leader offering a science-based approach to talent management, education, assessment, credentialing, and program evaluation, is proud to announce the creation of an additional fellowship award—the HumRRO Fellowship in Educational Measurement and Evaluation—for eligible doctoral students.
The new fellowship is in addition to the one HumRRO awards annually to a doctoral candidate in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology. Over the past 25 years, the HumRRO Fellowship in I-O Psychology (formerly the Meredith P. Crawford Fellowship) has become one of the most prestigious awards in the fields of human resources and organizational behavior and has made a significant impact on I-O recipients and their research.
In recognition of the important work HumRRO conducts in educational measurement and evaluation, leadership approved the new fellowship, launching in 2024, to award a doctoral candidate who demonstrates exceptional research skills, academic achievement, and professional productivity.
“Supporting the work of upcoming, talented researchers is at the core of our values to advance science and the profession,” said HumRRO President and CEO, Suzanne Tsacoumis, Ph.D. “With the new HumRRO Fellowship in Educational Measurement and Evaluation, we will be making a difference in the future of not one but two important fields of study.”
Each fellowship will grant a non-renewable stipend of $18,000, which is a 50% increase for the I-O fellowship award. To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must be a doctoral candidate in the discipline, or a closely related one, associated with the award:
- HumRRO Fellowship in I-O Psychology: Must be a doctoral candidate in I-O psychology or a closely related discipline.
- HumRRO Fellowship in Educational Measurement and Evaluation: Must be a doctoral candidate in educational measurement and evaluation or a closely related discipline.
The application window for both fellowships will be open from April 1, 2024 – July 1, 2024. For more information on the fellowships, requirements, and application process, visit the HumRRO Fellowships website.
