HumRRO is pleased to announce it has won a five-year contract with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to provide assessment development and validation, organizational health consultation, and other general advisory services.

The mission of the CBP is “to protect the American people, safeguard our borders, and enhance the nation’s economic prosperity.” To help build and sustain a workforce to achieve this mission, Personnel Research and Assessment Division (PRAD) establishes and implements best practices in assessment, evaluation, and organizational development. PRAD has selected HumRRO to assist in all aspects of this important work.

The HumRRO team has over 70 years of experience improving organizational performance and is experienced in developing, implementing, and demonstrating the validity of all types of employment assessments for a variety of organizations, including federal law enforcement agencies. HumRRO is also highly experienced in examining factors that affect employee motivation, workplace stress, recruitment, and retention. Finally, HumRRO is well accustomed to managing large-scale, high-stakes projects, including multi-pronged contracts.

Under this contract, HumRRO will provide technical and professional expertise to support the following activities:

Assessment Development and Validation.

Improve selection decisions by conducting item writing and review, executing computer adaptive test programs, performing test data management and analysis, conducting job analysis and validation, and developing structured interviews.

Organizational Health Assessment Consultation.

Provide insight into areas affecting employee stress and motivation by developing and implementing workplace climate surveys, facilitating focus groups and action planning workshops, providing developmental assessments, and conducting workforce development activities.

General Consulting and Advisory Services.

Support CBP staff by providing consultation on data science and analytics, developing and implementing career path programs, and designing and implementing applied evaluation studies, including an audit and review of the Customs Broker License Exam.
