Alexandria, Virginia — The Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) is honored to be recognized by The Washington Post as a 2021 Top Workplace in the Washington, D.C., area, for the second time in as many years. HumRRO is an industry leader offering a science-based approach to solving problems in human capital management, education research and assessment, credentialing, talent analytics, and evaluation.
Based on employee feedback gathered through an anonymous third-party survey by research firm Energage LLC, the Top Workplaces list highlights the area’s top 200 government contractors, law firms, nonprofits, schools, and businesses. The survey measures several aspects of engagement, including leadership, opportunity, values alignment, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Post-survey follow-up questions centered around how organizations overcame specific challenges related to the Covid-19 pandemic, racial inequity, and mental health.
“Now in its eighth year, The Post’s Top Workplaces list continues to highlight the companies in the Washington area that are leaders in company satisfaction and engagement,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Dion Haynes. “Throughout the past 15 months, these companies have had to make quick decisions in order to keep their employees safe while also balancing productivity and efficiency, and their employees have taken note of this great work.”
HumRRO distinguishes itself as a top workplace by providing employees with a highly collaborative and supportive environment that fosters innovation, ethical practice, and professional growth. We offer competitive salaries, outstanding health care and retirement benefits, flexible work options, professional development support, and an enriching environment in which to focus or diversify employees’ talents. This past year, we have increased our emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance and have implemented new diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
“Being selected as a Top Workplace by The Washington Post for the second year in a row is especially meaningful given the unique challenges of the past 18 months,” said Suzanne Tsacoumis, Ph.D., president and CEO of HumRRO. “We’ve had to be adaptable and resilient, and our employees have responded by exceeding client expectations while fulfilling our mission to give back to society, science, and our profession. We are honored that, based on the feedback of our employees, we are again recognized for this prestigious award.”
Each year, The Washington Post Top Workplaces list ranks organizations in small, midsize, large, and largest categories. The Post hosted a virtual awards ceremony last night where HumRRO was recognized as one of 80 top workplaces in the small-size category.
