Congratulations to Kevin Bradley, author of the chapter “General Psychometric Principles and Processes” in Certification: The ICE Handbook. The Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) describes the Handbook’s 3rd edition, released this week at the ICE Exchange in San Diego, as “a step-by-step guide to designing and implementing effective professional certification programs,” written by recognized experts with deep applied practical experience. This new edition contains expanded coverage of business planning and strategy, legal issues, ethics, technology, recertification, accommodating disabilities, and governance.
Along with the book launch, Kevin is participating in two presentations during the ICE Exchange. On Tuesday November 19 he will moderate a discussion on the “Examination Development and Use” section of Handbook, and on Wednesday November 20 he will join the ICE External Stakeholders Task Force to present the results of a multi-organization study focused on assessing and communicating the value of certification programs.
Kevin has been actively involved with ICE for the past five years, serving on the Government Affairs Committee (2016-2017), the Nominating Committee (2018-2019), and the Research and Development Committee (2019-present). He was also recently appointed as a psychometric reviewer for the NCCA Commission for a two-year term beginning in January 2020.
