Business Development Director, Public Sector

Dr. Beth Bynum joined HumRRO in 2007, first as an intern, and then starting full time in 2010 after earning her Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Georgia. She has served in various roles at HumRRO including research scientist, senior consultant, and operations manager. In 2025, Dr. Bynum was named HumRRO’s Business Development Director, Public Sector. In this role, she identifies and evaluates opportunities, builds partnerships, and grows HumRRO’s expertise and market presence in the public sector talent management domain. Dr. Bynum’s technical work encompasses project and analytic oversight of a range of projects in workplace selection, performance assessment, and educational testing. She brings specialized expertise to high-stakes large-scale assessments for employee selection, professional credentialing, K-12 education, and graduate school admissions. Throughout her career, she has guided multiple testing programs through critical transitions, including the successful launch of a new situational judgment test (SJT) for graduate school admissions.

Dr. Bynum served as chair of the American Psychological Association (APA) Committee on Psychological Tests and Assessment (CPTA) in 2023 and 2024 and currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Business and Psychology. In recognition of her contributions to the field, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) recognized Bynum with the prestigious Distinguished Early Career Contributions-Practice Award in 2019.
